Having recovered from a minor hamstring injury that sidelined him during Nigeria’s semi-final victory against the Bafana Bafana of South Africa, Sanusi is prepared to return to action.

During his absence, Fenerbahce’s Bright Osayi-Samuel filled in admirably in the starting line-up.

It is anticipated that Sanusi will reclaim his spot in the starting line-up against Cote d’Ivoire.

According to reports, head coach Jose Peseiro will maintain his preferred 3-4-3 formation for the crucial match.
