Following their 2-1 victory over Nigeria on Sunday night, the hosts secured their third AFCON title.

The Super Eagles took the lead with William Troost-Ekong’s goal eight minutes before halftime.

However, Emerse Fae’s team staged a comeback in the second half, netting twice through Franck Kessie and Sebastien Haller.

The local populace celebrated the team’s success jubilantly throughout the night.

Additionally, there will be a trophy parade at the Felix Houphouet Boigny Stadium in Abidjan today.

President Alssanne Quattara and other high-ranking government officials are slated to attend the event.

During the parade, the president is expected to announce a monetary reward for the players and their coaching staff.
