After Meeting Jonathan, Sowore Reveals Plan To Discuss Kanu With Tinubu

Sowore revealed that Jonathan acknowledged the urgent need to address Kanu’s detention promptly and decisively.
Sharing the update on X, Sowore stated that Jonathan had pledged to meet with President Bola Tinubu regarding the matter.
He wrote: “Today in Abuja, I met with former President @GEJonathan to discuss the continued incarceration of Mazi @NnamdiKanu.
“President Jonathan agreed that there is an urgent and compelling need to resolve this issue fairly and decisively. I sincerely thank him for recognizing the importance of addressing Kanu’s case for the sake of peace, justice, and national healing.
“Notably, he assured me that he intends to meet @officialabat to discuss this matter as soon as possible.
“With this, former President Jonathan joins a growing list of Nigerians advocating for justice in Nnamdi Kanu’s case, a list that already includes ex-Vice President @atiku, Femi Falana SAN, Senator @ShehuSani, and many others across political and regional lines.
“Mazi Nnamdi Kanu remains detained because he championed the cause of confronting long-standing marginalization in Nigeria. Like other ethnic and regional activists whose politically motivated cases were withdrawn or dismissed, he deserves to be released without further delay.”
