In a statement on Sunday, Obi urged Senator Mbata to prioritize unity among Ndigbo to foster peace, progress, and development.
According to Naija News, Obi emphasized that Mbata’s election reflects the trust and hope placed in him by the Igbo people.
“On behalf of my family and the Obidient movement, I extend heartfelt congratulations to the newly elected President General of Ohanaeze Ndigbo, Senator John Azuta-Mbata; Deputy President General, Prince Okey Nwadinobi; Secretary-General, Emeka Sibeudu, and the other newly appointed executives,” Obi stated.
Obi highlighted that the leadership of Ohanaeze Ndigbo represents a significant step towards fostering confidence in the region’s development and unity.
He wished the new executives a successful tenure, urging them to continue promoting peace and unity while driving meaningful development across the nation.
