The consensus reached at the meeting emphasized the collective commitment to ensuring Aiyedatiwa’s victory, thereby upholding the legacy of the late Rotimi Akeredolu.

Participants underscored that Governor Aiyedatiwa’s pursuit of the gubernatorial seat is not merely a personal ambition but a collaborative effort for the greater good of the senatorial district and the state as a whole. They lauded the governor as a unifying force capable of steering substantial development throughout Ondo State.

The leaders pledged to mobilize grassroots support for Aiyedatiwa and expressed confidence in his ability to continue and expand upon the developmental initiatives instigated by his predecessor, particularly in the realm of infrastructural development.

Speaking on behalf of the leaders, Prof. Sinmidele Odimayo from Irele local government area affirmed their readiness for any primary election mode adopted. He stated, “This meeting is a gathering of friends and leaders of Hon. Lucky Aiyedatiwa in Ondo South. We have decided to unite and discuss strategies to secure his mandate in the upcoming primary and general elections in April.”

Highlighting Aiyedatiwa’s qualities, Prof. Odimayo noted, “He is a man of principle, progress, wisdom, and great patience, determined to bring about positive change and elevate the state’s development. We implore our people that there is no alternative; it is Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa all the way.”

Addressing concerns about party unity, Prof. Odimayo drew a parallel with a past election, cautioning against a repeat scenario.
