Otunba Henry Ajomale, former chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Lagos State and member of the Governor’s Advisory Council, has expressed confidence that the Speaker of the Lagos State House of Assembly, Mudashiru Obasa, will soon withdraw the lawsuit against his deputy, Mojisola Meranda, and other lawmakers over his impeachment.....KINDLY READ THE FULL STORY HERE▶

Ajomale made this statement over the weekend at an award ceremony in Surulere, organized by Broadcasting Talents, Nigeria. Representing Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, Ajomale revealed that the case would be withdrawn following the intervention of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

The GAC member reassured Lagosians that the crisis within the House of Assembly would be resolved amicably, adding that a noticeable change would occur in the next sitting. He remarked, “Very soon everything will be alright. You will see the difference at the next sitting. Somebody is aggrieved, and it’s his right to go to court. It is now our duty, since Mr. President has intervened, and rightly so, because this is his own making. He will not allow this to escalate into a bigger problem.

“This is why he had to intervene. Everything is back to normal. Mudashiru Obasa has been reinstated as Speaker, and I believe the case will be withdrawn from court in no time—perhaps at the next sitting. You will see the difference.”
