Akpabio Under Fire! Adeyanju Alleges Disrespect Towards Women In Senate
Activist lawyer Deji Adeyanju has criticized Senate President Godswill Akpabio, calling him the worst Senate President in Nigeria’s history.....KINDLY READ THE FULL STORY HERE▶
In a Facebook post on Friday night, Adeyanju made this remark following a heated session in the Senate on Thursday. The tension arose when Kogi Central Senator, Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan, refused to accept a newly assigned seat, citing Order 10 of the Senate Standing Rules.
A viral video captured Natasha boldly confronting Akpabio, stating, “I am not afraid of you.”
Adeyanju Condemns Akpabio’s Treatment of Female Senators
Reacting to the incident, Adeyanju accused Akpabio of disrespecting female senators, noting that Senator Ireti Kingibe had also faced similar treatment in the past.
He further claimed that Akpabio behaves like a man whose ego has been wounded.
“Akpabio is the worst Senate President in Nigeria’s history. He acts so bitter, like a man whose ego has been bruised by a woman. First, it was Senator Ireti Kingibe, now it’s Senator Natasha. He has no respect or regard for the only two women in the red chamber,” Adeyanju wrote.
