The Adamawa State Police Command has apprehended Roland Raymond, a 32-year-old resident of Detti village, Ganye LGA, on charges of criminal intimidation linked to kidnapping.
The arrest followed a complaint lodged by Alhaji Yahya Congo and Abraham Paul, who reported that Raymond had contacted them by phone, demanding 600,000 Naira under threat of kidnapping.
Acting swiftly upon receiving the report, the police in Ganye Division, in collaboration with local hunters, promptly mobilized and apprehended Raymond while he was in the process of collecting the demanded ransom.
Confirming the arrest, the command’s spokesperson stated that Raymond would face legal proceedings following the completion of investigations.
