Tunji-Ojo, accused of facilitating an overpayment of N438m as a consultancy fee to a company linked to Betta Edu, made a nonchalant statement as he exited the Presidential Villa. When approached for an interview, he simply remarked, ‘It’s all good,’ leaving many perplexed about his response to the serious allegations.

Reports suggest that New Planet Projects Limited, a company owned by Tunji-Ojo, received the controversial N438.1m payment for consultancy services. In a recent appearance on Channels TV’s Politics Today, Tunji-Ojo defended himself, emphasizing that he resigned from the directorship of the company in 2019 when he contested for the House of Representatives.

While Tunji-Ojo acknowledged his role in founding the company a decade ago, he asserted that he had no involvement in its day-to-day operations. Despite his explanation, the alleged financial irregularities and the swift suspension of Betta Edu have intensified the scrutiny on the Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs and its affiliated entities.”
