In response, Amosun rejected Utomi’s allegations, accusing him of an entitled attitude. He revealed that the Ogun State House of Assembly had previously blacklisted Utomi due to questionable business dealings that were deemed harmful to the state’s interests. Amosun shared that upon assuming office, he inquired about the blacklist and discovered issues related to a controversial construction project in Ogun State.

Amosun claimed that Utomi had sought to capitalize on the situation by pressuring him for a N200 million refund for a construction project, which Amosun countered with an offer of N100 million. He criticized Utomi for attempting to use his Center for Value in Leadership (CVL) to influence him and accused him of seeking to undermine his administration through manipulation and false claims.

Amosun defended his actions, stating that he made decisions based on the best interests of Ogun State and maintained that he would not be swayed by Utomi’s tactics. He emphasized the need for consistent application of the law and accountability for leaders, asserting that misinformation and manipulation should not be tolerated.
