Soludo emphasized that in a society where lawlessness has become ingrained, restoring law and order is a challenging endeavor, which is the driving force behind this initiative.

He commended the squad members selected for their worthiness and commitment to serve, urging them to carry out their duties with dedication, passion, and diligence.

The governor also instructed them to adhere to established standards and adhere to the code of conduct governing their operations.

Soludo stated, “Members of the anti-touting squad shall work in collaboration with the Nigerian Armed Forces, who have the primary responsibility of ensuring the state’s security.”

He noted that the launch of the squad is a decisive step in fulfilling his promise to restore Anambra State, historically recognized for its law and order, to its former glory as the ‘Light of the Nation.’

Furthermore, the governor encouraged citizens to embrace the “if you see something, say something” campaign and put it into action.

He announced that contact numbers would be provided to the public to report any touting activities observed in the area to the government.
