In the Misau Local Government Area of Bauchi State, a suspected armed robber met a tragic end as he was fatally beaten by a mob, while four other members of the robbery gang were apprehended by the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC). Upon arriving at the scene, the NSCDC team discovered that one of the robbery suspects had been captured by the vigilant community members. The spokesperson for the NSCDC Bauchi State Command, DSC Fatima Adamu, revealed that the suspect, confessing to being part of a six-member gang, was brutally assaulted by the mob and subsequently rushed to General Hospital Misau. Tragically, the suspect succumbed to his injuries and was declared dead by the attending medical doctor.

The NSCDC operatives successfully apprehended four other members of the robbery gang: Jamilu Ibrahim (22 years), a resident of Railway quarters, Bauchi; Nuhu Ya,u (19 years), residing in Unguwan Karofi, Bauchi; Abubakar Abdulmumin (22 years), a resident of Railway quarters near ECWA 2 church, Bauchi; and Alhassan Hussaini (20 years), residing in Unguwan Kandahar, Bauchi. However, additional members of the gang remain at large.

The spokesperson further disclosed that various exhibits were recovered from the arrested suspects, including cutlasses, locally made ammunition, daggers, knives, smartphones, and charms. The NSCDC continues its efforts to track down the remaining members of the gang and maintain security in the area.
