Adamu Lokoja, the lawmaker representing Suleja, Gurara, and Tafa Federal Constituency in Niger State, has officially defected from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to the All Progressives Congress (APC).....KINDLY READ THE FULL STORY HERE▶

His defection was formally unveiled at a ceremony held at the APC state headquarters in Minna, where he was received by the party’s State Chairman, Aminu Bobi.

Lokoja’s switch is part of a broader wave of political realignments, with several key figures abandoning the PDP for the ruling APC in recent months.

Speaking at the event, the APC Zonal Chairman for Niger East, Danladi Ahijoh, hailed Lokoja’s defection as a strategic move, calling it an “investment” in the future of progressive politics.

He attributed the growing influx of defectors to the APC’s reform-driven leadership and governance track record, which he said continues to attract politicians seeking relevance and impact.

Lokoja is now among three lawmakers from Niger State’s 10th Assembly originally elected under the PDP banner who have since defected to the APC, often citing internal disputes and instability within the PDP as motivating factors.
