APC Blows Hot: Oshiomhole Blames Opposition For Internal Failures

A chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Adams Oshiomhole, has dismissed claims from opposition parties, insisting that their internal crises are self-inflicted rather than caused by the ruling party.....KINDLY READ THE FULL STORY HERE▶

He made the remarks during a nationwide media chat organised by the APC, where he stressed that it is not the responsibility of his party to interfere in or manage the affairs of opposition groups.

The former APC National Chairman argued that it would be unreasonable for any political party to establish a system dedicated to monitoring or resolving the internal problems of rival parties. According to him, each political party must take full responsibility for its own organisation and conflict resolution.

While noting that the APC may offer advice when necessary, he emphasised that it cannot assume the role of resolving disputes within opposition parties, adding that such duties lie solely with those parties.

In his words, “You cannot expect us, as a political party, to set up a department to manage opposition political parties so they don’t run into crisis. We are ready to offer help to political parties to resolve crises, but it is not our job to manage them.”

Oshiomhole also addressed concerns about funding, dismissing claims that opposition parties are struggling due to financial disadvantages compared to the APC. He argued that access to resources is not exclusive to the ruling party.
