Abbas announced that the party is preparing to hold primary elections to select candidates for the 44 local government areas. He emphasized, “We are doing everything possible to ensure our numerous supporters actively participate in the elections.”
The APC is mobilizing its base to focus on vote protection and to foster a peaceful electoral process. Abbas urged the state electoral commission to create a conducive environment for all political parties, promoting free, fair, and credible elections.
“We expect equal opportunities from the commission for all candidates without bias. A transparent electoral process and a peaceful atmosphere are essential for the elections,” he stated.
The party is also engaging in grassroots outreach, encouraging supporters to turn out in large numbers for the elections. Abbas called on APC members to reject any form of violence and assured that intimidation would not be tolerated during the electoral process.
“Kano State remains a stronghold for the APC, and we aim to maintain our dominance. We urge the commission to uphold the integrity of the electoral process, which is vital for Nigeria’s democratic advancement,” he concluded.
