APC Dominates Katsina LG Elections, Opposition Cries Foul

Announcing the results on Sunday, KTSIEC Chairman, Lawal Faskari, confirmed that the APC secured victory in all chairmanship and councillorship positions with a commanding lead.
The election featured five political parties—Accord (A), African Action Congress (AAC), African Development Congress (ADC), All Progressives Congress (APC), and Booth Party (BP)—with the APC emerging dominant in all contested positions.
Faskari noted that the collation of results experienced slight delays due to late submissions from some LGAs. However, the process was completed on Sunday, paving the way for the final declaration of results.
Commendation for Smooth Electoral Process
Faskari applauded the ad-hoc staff for efficiently conducting the election within the scheduled timeframe. He also extended appreciation to KTSIEC management, political party leaders, election observers, and other stakeholders for their cooperation and contributions toward a successful electoral process.
He reaffirmed that the APC swept all chairmanship and councillorship positions across the 34 LGAs with a landslide victory.
