Nnabuife, who secured her seat by defeating Okwudili Ezenwankwo under the YPP, announced her defection during a ceremony in Awka, Anambra State, on Sunday.

Addressing a crowd of enthusiastic supporters and APGA members, Nnabuife described her return to the party as inevitable, declaring:
“What is happening today was expected—I am back home.”

She emphasized her commitment to APGA’s success, stating:
“If APGA had 70% in the last election, it will be 99.5% from now.”

Nnabuife urged party members to unite in strengthening APGA and praised Governor Chukwuma Soludo for his leadership and support during her election campaign.

Describing her return as the beginning of a new era for Orumba North and South, she encouraged others to join APGA, positioning it as “the party to beat” ahead of the November 8 governorship election.

The Anambra State APGA Chairman, Ifeatu Obiokoye, welcomed Nnabuife, calling on members to work together to fortify the party’s influence. He also warned against anti-party activities.

To solidify her membership, Obiokoye presented Nnabuife with a temporary APGA membership card, pledging to serve as a witness to her defection when needed.

The chairmen of APGA in Orumba North and South, Cyril Nwobu and Chike Nwafor, hailed her defection as a major boost for the party, reinforcing its growing popularity.

Notable dignitaries present at the event included Shedrack Azubuike (Chairman, Orumba South), Ngozi Obidike (Deputy Chairman, Orumba South), and Engineer Emmanuel Nwafor (Anambra State House of Assembly member).
