Apostle Okoriko conveyed his disbelief in such prophecies, labeling them as baseless and untrue. It has been rumored that certain churches in the state have even initiated fasting and prayer programs to beseech God to avert the forecasted impending disasters.
In his sermon, centered around the theme “How Men Invented Unclean Spirits,” Apostle Okoriko elucidated that negative thoughts have led people to invent harmful notions, such as associating Ember months with calamities and crimes.
He emphasized that wrongdoing originates in the mind before manifesting in actions, and having positive thoughts is essential for success.
Contrary to the prevalent belief that Ember months are ill-fated, Apostle Okoriko contended that they are actually favorable.
He criticized the negative influence propagated by some churches, causing fear among their members and misleading Africans with false beliefs about Ember months.
He urged individuals not to accept any oppressive declarations for the months of September to December and emphasized the need to reject unwarranted negativity.
