In addition to this measure, Governor Lawal announced plans for the creation of two truck parks in Gusau, the State capital, with the objective of effectively managing heavy traffic caused by trailers.

The Governor shared these initiatives during the Zamfara State Executive Council meeting, held on Monday at the Government House Council chamber in Gusau. The meeting marked the 16th session since the commencement of Governor Dauda Lawal’s administration.

In a statement released by the Governor’s spokesperson, Sulaiman Bala Idris, it was disclosed that Governor Lawal has granted immediate approval for the recruitment of 250 personnel for the Zamfara Road Traffic Agency (ZAROTA). This decision aims to bolster the ongoing road construction projects as part of the administration’s commitment to urban renewal projects.

“I have sanctioned the immediate employment of 250 individuals for the Zamfara Road Traffic Agency, ZAROTA, to enhance the progress of our ongoing road constructions under the umbrella of my administration’s urban renewal projects,” stated the Governor.

The statement further highlighted that during the council meeting, Governor Lawal, who serves as the chairman, received comprehensive reports detailing the advancements, challenges faced, and anticipated timelines for the completion of various projects. The updates encompassed diverse sectors such as infrastructure, healthcare, education, and law enforcement, demonstrating the administration’s multifaceted approach to addressing the State’s developmental needs.
