Arapaja Claps Back: Wike Has Done Enough That He Can Do To PDP

Arapaja made this statement during a book launch held in his honor on Friday in Port Harcourt, celebrating his 57th birthday.

Despite the ongoing internal challenges within the party, Arapaja emphasized that the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Wike, enjoys the respect of all party members. He further noted that if Wike were not an asset to the PDP, rival political parties would not be seeking his support.

“We, as PDP members, take pride in saying that he is one of our finest. If he wasn’t valuable, I’m sure other political parties wouldn’t be courting him. He’s making a significant impact,” Arapaja remarked.

He also expressed surprise at negative remarks about the PDP from individuals who are products of the party, stating, “The foundation of all political parties in Nigeria is the PDP. So, I find it baffling when someone from the PDP speaks negatively about it—that’s not true politics.”

Arapaja went on to laud the PDP’s principal leader, affirming, “Our mentor and principal, who has never left the PDP, is one of the most committed and loyal leaders the party has ever had. He has excelled, continues to do well, and we wish him all the best in his future endeavors.”

He concluded, “We know you, we appreciate you, and we will always stand by you. Unlike those with a sense of entitlement, we recognize your integrity, honor, and achievements.”
