Armed Assailants Attack, Claim Life Of 30-Year-Old Man In Plateau Village

Gunmen tragically claimed the life of a 30-year-old man, Fwangshak Lesun, in the Daika Community, Panyam District of Mangu Local Government Area, Plateau State. The attack occurred Sunday night, November 3, 2024, near the Mangu-Daika bridge, close to the local cottage hospital.
According to a local resident, Mr. Christopher Luka, Lesun was ambushed around 8:30 pm as he returned to the village. “The young man was just coming back to the community when he was suddenly attacked by armed men who opened fire on him. He passed away immediately,” Luka recounted. The community gathered the following morning to lay Lesun to rest, grieving the loss.
The incident has left the community in shock and raised concerns over security in the region.
