Gunmen fatally shot a Point of Sale (POS) agent known as Alfa in Ado Ekiti, Ekiti state’s capital, on Thursday. The assailants, riding a motorbike, attacked and killed him, fleeing with cash and other valuables, as reported by witnesses.

Confirming the incident, DSP Sunday Abutu, the Public Relations Officer of the state police command, stated that the victim’s body was transferred to a morgue while investigations are underway to apprehend the perpetrators.

In a separate incident earlier that week, unidentified gunmen also killed a ticketing officer of the Okada Riders association near Okesa roundabout in broad daylight on Monday.
