Addressing the officers at the examination venue, Maxwell Khobe Cantonment, Jos Plateau, Aligbe, serving as the Examination President, reiterated the army’s unwavering stance against exam malpractice. He emphasized the severe consequences such actions could have on their careers within the Nigerian army.

This warning was highlighted in a statement released by the Acting Deputy Director of Army Public Relations, Lt.-Col. Sani Uba, on Tuesday.

Aligbe stressed that the examination forms part of a series of professional military education programs aimed at enhancing the officers’ proficiency and leadership skills. He urged them to uphold the army’s core values and demonstrate discipline and courage, as these factors would significantly influence their career advancement.

The Examination President underscored the examination’s alignment with the command philosophy of the Chief of Army Staff, Lt.-Gen. Taoreed Lagbaja, which focuses on transforming the Nigerian Army into a well-trained, equipped, and highly motivated force capable of fulfilling its constitutional duties within a joint operational environment.

Aligbe assured the candidates of the examination’s fairness and transparency, emphasizing that the panelists and directing staff would ensure an impartial conduct throughout the process.

In his welcome address, Maj.-Gen Abdulsalam Abubakar, the General Officer Commanding (GOC), 3 Division, and Commander of Special Task Force, Operation Safe Haven, urged the candidates to uphold decorum and discipline during the examination. He emphasized the pivotal role of the examination in shaping their career trajectory, expanding their knowledge base, and enhancing their performance in ongoing military operations across the country.
