According to a police statement released on Friday, Mustapha posted a fabricated statement on his Facebook page on May 30, 2024, targeting the member representing the Mubi North/Mubi South/Maiha Federal Constituency of Adamawa State.

The arrest came after a formal complaint was lodged with the Commissioner of Police by Hon. Magaji’s legal team. The complaint alleged that Mohammed falsely accused Magaji of withholding funds, damaging his reputation in an unfair and dishonest manner.
