According to SP Bright Edafe, the command’s spokesperson, who released a statement on Tuesday, May 28, 2024, the suspect is alleged to be a member of the Eiye confraternity cult group.

“Following revelations from individuals detained in connection to kidnapping and cult activities by the command’s special squad stationed in Ughelli, on 24/05/2024 at approximately 16:35 hours, the special team led by ASP Julius Robinson tracked and apprehended one Emmanuel John Aisewowhion, also known as ‘Small Juju,’ aged 34, hailing from Ewohimi community in Esan-South East LGA of Edo State, but residing in Uwagba Community, Okpe LGA, Delta State,” the statement stated.

“A Beretta pistol was found in his residence, and subsequent investigations revealed his affiliation with the Eiye confraternity, acquiring the firearm from Goodluck Sakutu, a suspected arms dealer already in custody
