President Bola Tinubu, on Friday, authorized the appointment of Adewale Adeniyi as the Comptroller-General of the Nigeria Customs Service.
The announcement came in a statement issued by Mr. Willie Bassey, the Director of Information at the Office of the Secretary to the Government of the Federation.
According to the statement, the President has charged Adeniyi with applying his extensive experience to his new role.
The statement reads: “His Excellency President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, has approved the confirmation of the appointment of Adewale Adeniyi (MFR) as the Comptroller-General of the Nigeria Customs Service.
“The appointment is effective from October 19, 2023, and his tenure complies with the prevailing provisions of the Public Service Rules (PSR). The President has tasked him with leveraging his wealth of experience in his new role.”
