During his sermon at the funeral service for the late Governor Rotimi Akeredolu at Saint Andrews Cathedral Church Imola in Owo, Ondo State, on Friday, Enyindah stressed the need for prompt action by the President. Expressing the collective hope of Nigerians, he said, “May I, on behalf of Nigerians, pray and call on the President, Senator Bola Tinubu, to do something to reduce the hardship faced by Nigerians.”

Enyindah expressed optimism that President Tinubu, who promised renewed hope, would fulfill this commitment during his tenure. He emphasized the urgency of the situation, stating, “We plead with him to do it fast because time, that is four or eight years as the case may be, is brief and the time is running.”

The funeral service, held for Governor Akeredolu, who passed away on December 27, 2023, after a prolonged illness in Germany, took place in Owo, his hometown, on Friday. Vice President Kashim Shettima, representing President Tinubu, attended the service alongside other dignitaries, including Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa, Governor Biodun Oyebanji of Ekiti State, Governor Goodwin Obaseki of Edo State, and other notable figures in Nigerian politics.
