Atiku, the 2023 presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), expressed deep concern over these divisive and dangerous demands. In a statement issued by his spokesman, Mr. Paul Ibe, he criticized the rhetoric as both harmful and threatening to national peace and security. He emphasized that Nigeria’s constitution guarantees every citizen the right to live and work anywhere in the country.
