AYCF Claims Northern Elites Conspiring Against Tinubu’s Re-Election Bid....KINDLY READ THE FULL STORY HERE▶

The Arewa Youth Consultative Forum (AYCF) has leveled serious allegations against certain influential northern political figures, asserting their involvement in a purported scheme to thwart President Bola Tinubu’s potential bid for re-election in 2027. In a statement released on Tuesday, the forum contends that the current disturbances and unrest in the North serve as components of a broader strategy to achieve this objective in the upcoming elections.

Yerima Shettima, the President General of AYCF, elucidates that this alleged conspiracy revolves around imposing impractical and unachievable standards upon the Tinubu administration, aimed at discrediting the government and swaying public opinion against it.

Shettima further elucidates that the smear campaign and destabilization efforts are targeted at eroding Tinubu’s support base in the North, with Minister of State for Defence, Bello Mohammed Matawalle, singled out as the primary focal point.

The AYCF perceives the sustained assaults on key allies of Tinubu as integral to a broader agenda aimed at destabilizing the administration and obstructing his potential re-election for a second term in 2027.

Expressing concern, the AYCF characterizes these actions as desperate maneuvers by individuals vying for power to hinder the administration’s progress and reverse its anti-corruption initiatives.

Shettima emphasized, “The AYCF views these actions as a calculated attempt to dismantle the President’s support network and thwart his chances of securing a second term in office.”

The AYCF urged caution against premature actions by anti-Tinubu factions, stressing the importance of refraining from disseminating false information and leveraging obscure organizations to undermine the President’s allies and tarnish his reputation.

In light of these developments, the AYCF advised President Tinubu and his team to maintain vigilance and steadfastness in their commitment to advancing the nation’s interests.

The forum cautioned the President to be wary of orchestrated propaganda campaigns targeting his administration and to remain focused on fulfilling his obligations to the Nigerian populace.

“It is imperative for the government to stay focused on its goals, remain resilient in the face of these challenges, and work towards ensuring a stable and prosperous future for Nigeria. The administration must anticipate and counteract these moves in order to safeguard the progress and development of the nation,” Shettima emphasized, as reported by Daily Post.

The AYCF deems it nonsensical for any entity to evaluate and critique an administration that has been in power for less than a year based on unrealistic expectations and biased criteria.
