Returning to Abuja on Saturday evening, Tinubu promptly engaged in a series of high-profile meetings, including discussions with Kogi State Governor Usman Ododo and House of Representatives member James Faleke.

At the ADSW summit, which hosted over 3,500 global delegates under the theme “The Nexus of Next: Supercharging Sustainable Progress,” Tinubu reaffirmed Nigeria’s commitment to combating climate change.

Highlighting the nation’s advancements in renewable energy and carbon emission reduction policies, the President declared, “Nigeria is ready to collaborate with other nations for a sustainable future.” He called for global partnerships to address pressing environmental issues such as deforestation and flooding.

On the sidelines of the event, Tinubu met with Rwandan President Paul Kagame to discuss strengthening intra-African trade and collaboration. The leaders emphasized Africa’s potential for self-reliance, focusing on its abundant resources and skilled workforce.

At the Zayed Sustainability Prize Awards Ceremony, Tinubu commended two Nigerian SMEs for their innovative contributions to sustainability, showcasing the country’s talent and ingenuity on the global stage.
