Camp Nou’s partial reopening on August 10 marks a significant step in Barcelona’s €900m renovation project—though the final cost may exceed €1 billion. With just 25,000 seats ready, the stadium remains largely under construction, including its roof, third tier, and VIP areas.
Barcelona won’t host LaLiga games at Camp Nou to start the 2025–26 season. Internal sources suggest September is more realistic, aligned with Champions League group stages. Full stadium completion is targeted for June 2026.
The club had hoped to return in late 2024 but faced repeated delays. Their two-season stay at Montjuïc now ends, and UEFA’s single-stadium rule could force them to extend that arrangement unless Camp Nou is fully ready.
More than a homecoming, this event is critical for revenue and the club’s financial future. At 105,000 seats, the new Camp Nou will be Spain’s biggest stadium. But for now, fans will get only a glimpse of what’s to come.
