He made the clarification on Sunday shortly after Eid-el-Fitr prayers while speaking with journalists on the political climate in the state and within the PDP. Mohammed reaffirmed his loyalty to the party, stressing that he has no intention of leaving.

The governor said his political decisions are guided by the interests of the people of Bauchi State, noting that leadership must reflect the collective will of citizens rather than personal ambition or external pressure. He also acknowledged that the PDP is facing internal challenges but expressed confidence that the issues would be resolved ahead of the 2027 general elections.

Mohammed urged political actors to prioritise unity and avoid actions that could deepen tensions in the state, adding that democracy should be driven by service, integrity, and vision rather than desperation for power. He reiterated his administration’s commitment to transparency, inclusiveness, and allowing opposition voices to operate freely.

On governance, the governor admitted that the state is facing security and developmental challenges but assured residents that his administration is working to address them. He also called on citizens to support security agencies and remain vigilant, emphasising that peace and stability remain essential for progress in Bauchi State.
