Kotor reportedly died on Friday evening after collapsing at a private event. According to sources, the veteran Master of Ceremonies suddenly slumped during the programme and was immediately rushed to a medical facility, where doctors later confirmed him dead despite efforts to revive him.

In a statement issued by his Chief Press Secretary, Sir Festus Ahon, the governor described the late aide as a dedicated public servant whose passing represents a significant loss to the state government. He extended condolences to the bereaved family, especially the deceased’s younger brother, Conference Kotor, who also serves in the governor’s media team.

The governor noted that Kotor’s contributions to protocol duties and event coordination would be greatly missed, adding that he had served diligently across successive administrations in the state.

Until his death, Kotor was a well-known figure at the Delta State Government House, where he anchored official events for over two decades under multiple governors. He was a graduate of Mass Communication from Delta State University, Abraka, and hailed from Okwagbe in Ughelli South Local Government Area.
