Governor Diri was bestowed with the title “Olotu Kpekpe 1,” signifying “the one and only champion” of Kolokuma/Opokuma, while the Deputy Governor received the title “Kuro Okpo 1,” symbolizing the “Strong one” of Kolokuma/Opokuma.

The conferment ceremony occurred at the palace of the Ibedaowei of Kolokuma Kingdom, King Mozi Agara, in Kaiama, as part of Governor Diri’s re-election campaign in Constituency 1 of the local government area.

In his speech on behalf of the KOLGA Council of Chiefs, King Agara, who also serves as the chairman, hailed the Governor and his Deputy as blessings to the local community, acknowledging the positive impact of their leadership.

The monarchs offered their blessings and best wishes to the Governor and Deputy Governor as they prepare for the upcoming gubernatorial election on November 11.

Governor Diri expressed gratitude to the traditional rulers for the honor and pledged to serve as a worthy representative of the kingdom.
