BBNaija Star Adekunle Breaks Silence, Reveals Sh*cking Details In Police Brutality Case
Reality TV star Adekunle Olopade has given an update on his earlier allegations of assault by officers of the Nigerian Police Force.....KINDLY READ THE FULL STORY HERE▶
Recall that the media personality had previously accused some police officers of unjustly harassing him while he was taking a late-night drive in his mother’s car.
In a post shared via his handle, Adekunle confirmed that the officers involved in the incident have now been identified and disciplined.
He wrote:
“In the last few days, the only news you’ve heard from me has been difficult, but at this very moment, I would like to share some good news. I want to thank the Lagos State Police Command Complaint Response Unit for their swift intervention.
From reaching out immediately after the news broke to following up diligently, their response has been commendable. I’ve been in constant communication with the ACP in charge of Area J Command, Elemoro, Ibeju-Lekki, providing all necessary details to ensure those responsible were held accountable.”
Expressing his relief, Adekunle praised the police authorities for taking the matter seriously and urged Nigerians not to give in to intimidation or abuse by law enforcement officers.
“I am happy to inform you that I just left the Elemoro Police Station, and thanks to the effort and investigation led by ACP Oluyemisi Ojo, the officers involved have been found and sanctioned.
Justice has been served! I can’t describe the relief I feel — it’s proof that accountability is still possible, even at a time when public trust in the police is very low.”
The reality star further encouraged citizens to always report cases of police harassment and brutality, noting that the Lagos State Complaint Response Unit remains active and effective.
“For anyone who has been mistreated by the police, please report it. Gather as much evidence as possible and pursue the case. The system can work — this experience has shown me that.”
