BBNaija Star Cross Robbed By Street Beggar In Lekki, Raises Alarm Over Safety

Former Big Brother Naija housemate Cross Okonkwo has raised concerns over the growing menace of street begging after alleging that a man who approached his vehicle in the Ikate area of Lekki, Lagos State, vandalised his car after he declined to give him money.

According to Bush Radio Academy, Cross said he was driving along the road when a man he described as a street beggar approached his vehicle and repeatedly asked him for money. After he declined to give the man anything, Cross alleged that the individual suddenly pulled off the windshield seal of his car before fleeing the scene.

The reality TV star said he immediately got out of his vehicle and pursued the man, but was unable to catch up with him.

Cross subsequently filmed the damage to his vehicle and expressed frustration over what he described as the increasing problems associated with street begging.

The incident reportedly left the former BBNaija housemate concerned about the safety of motorists who encounter aggressive beggars or other individuals approaching vehicles on the streets.

Cross’s account has since generated discussions about street begging, public safety and the challenges motorists face in some parts of Lagos.
