The Armed Forces Remembrance Day Celebration, meticulously organized by the Ministry of Defence, serves as an annual tribute to commemorate the indomitable spirit and selfless sacrifices of Nigeria’s heroes. These courageous individuals paid the ultimate price during the First and Second World Wars, the Nigerian Civil War, peace support operations worldwide, and various internal security operations.
In attendance are the eminent Service Chiefs, led by Chief of Defence Staff Gen. Christopher Musa, alongside heads of other security agencies, standing united in their tribute to the fallen heroes. Other distinguished personalities present are Senate President Akpabio, Speaker Abbas, Chief Justice Ariwoola, Secretary-General of the Federation George Akume, Chief of Staff Femi Gbajabiamila, Minister of Defence Bagadu, Minister of Defence for State Matawalle, FCT Minister Wike, Information Minister Idris, Minister of Niger Delta Development Abubakar Momoh, Solid Minerals Minister Dele Alake, Former Senate President Ahmed Lawan, Minister of Agriculture Kyari.
