He emphasized that the Biafra referendum’s actualization is inevitable and irreversible.

Ekpa, who serves as the Prime Minister of BRGIE and is a lawyer based in Finland, made these statements during an extraordinary two-day Biafra referendum convention in Helsinki, Finland, on Friday.

He pointed out that the Biafra movement, initially prompted by Igbo marginalization in Nigeria, has evolved into a struggle for self-preservation.

During the convention, now recognized as the ‘Biafra Helsinki Declaration October 20-21, 2023,’ Ekpa asserted that the Nigerian government has failed to address the root causes of the Biafra movement.

He accused the Nigerian government of persistently perpetuating injustice and discrimination against the Biafran people.

Ekpa maintained that, in the absence of fairness and equity, the concept of ‘one Nigeria’ remains unsustainable.
