Over the weekend in Abuja, MOFI’s Chief Executive Officer, Dr. Armstrong Takang, and his NSIA counterpart, Mr. Aminu Umar-Sadiq, led their senior management teams to a stakeholders’ meeting, pledging to work together to ensure a seamless handover.

The gathering brought together members of the Fertiliser Producers and Suppliers Association of Nigeria (FEPSAN), officials from the Federal Ministry of Agriculture and Food Security, and private sector operators. The focus was on strengthening Nigeria’s fertiliser value chain for improved agricultural productivity.

In his remarks, Dr. Takang commended the PFI-NPK programme for its role in transforming the nation’s fertiliser ecosystem—expanding domestic blending capacity, improving farmers’ access to quality products, and advancing food security goals. He stressed that past successes should serve as a springboard for greater achievements, emphasising that sustained stakeholder collaboration is key to unlocking new opportunities.

He noted that the 2025 PFI-NPK Stakeholders’ Roundtable, themed “PFI: A Journey of Reform, Partnership, and Transition”, was designed to appreciate the commitment of partners while reminding all that the path ahead demands even greater effort to achieve more remarkable results.

Addressing concerns about fertiliser adulteration, diversion of raw materials, and distribution inefficiencies, Dr. Takang assured stakeholders that these challenges would be confronted decisively.
