Bishop Oyedepo Reveals The Incredible Thing He Did For The Woman Who Led Him to Christ At 15
The founder of Living Faith Church Worldwide, Bishop David Oyedepo, has revealed that he gifted a car to the woman who led him to Christ when he was just 15 years old, describing the gesture as an expression of gratitude for the life-changing impact she had on his spiritual journey.
Speaking during Sunday’s service, Oyedepo recounted how the gift was presented to the woman after he turned 60. According to him, the vehicle was delivered to her residence in the United States, leaving her deeply emotional.
“The woman who brought me to Christ at the age of 15 remains my mother in the faith. When I celebrated my 60th birthday, I bought her a car and had it delivered to her home in the U.S. She broke down in tears. Learn to appreciate those who shape your life,” he told the congregation.
Using the experience as a lesson on gratitude and honour, the renowned cleric urged Christians not to forget those who have positively influenced their lives.
Oyedepo also used the opportunity to caution Nigerian youths against relying on sports betting as a means of making money.
He warned that gambling offers no sustainable path to financial success and could derail the future of many young people.
“Young people, sports betting is not the road to prosperity. Don’t throw away your destiny chasing quick money. Stop before it’s too late,” he cautioned.
The bishop stressed that lasting wealth is built through diligence, discipline, patience and consistent hard work rather than shortcuts.
He further encouraged young people not to become discouraged when success appears slow, insisting that achievements built on strong values may take time but are more enduring.
“Progress may seem slow, but if it is built on the right foundation, it will surely last,” Oyedepo said.
