Officials from both the EFCC and NCoS were present as the Committees on Financial Crimes and Reformatory Institutions began their inquiry into claims of corruption made by the blogger.

In a viral video, VeryDarkMan alleged that recently released crossdresser Bobrisky paid ₦15 million to the EFCC to drop money laundering charges linked to an incident involving naira spraying in April, which resulted in a six-month prison sentence. He also claimed that Bobrisky had paid additional sums to secure a preferential placement in prison.

Bobrisky has vehemently denied these allegations and has initiated legal action against VeryDarkMan. In response to the claims, both the EFCC and the Nigerian Correctional Service have launched their own investigations.

Additionally, the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA) has called on the Attorney General of the Federation, Lateef Fagbemi (SAN), and the Office of the National Security Adviser, Nuhu Ribadu, to conduct an independent investigation into the allegations made by the blogger.
