Celebrity journalist Stella Dimoko Korkus has revealed that Bobrisky, scheduled for release on Monday, is not experiencing typical jail conditions. She posted on Instagram that although the cross-dresser was sentenced in March without the option of a fine, he has been enjoying privileges such as internet access and phone calls. According to Korkus, Bobrisky’s confinement does not reflect traditional imprisonment as he has not been deprived of basic amenities.

In response to these claims, the Lagos State Command of the Nigerian Correctional Service (NCoS) has clarified Bobrisky’s detention conditions. Rumors suggested that Bobrisky was housed in a VIP cell at the Kirikiri correctional facility. However, NCoS spokesperson Rotimi Oladokun denied these reports. He stated that Bobrisky shares a cell with other inmates and does not have access to any special accommodations. The facility’s infrastructure does not include individual or luxury cells, and all inmates are housed according to standard correctional practices.u
