In an official notice shared via its (formerly Twitter) handle on Friday, the party stated that the updated schedule reflects internal organisational needs and aims to ensure a smooth, transparent process across all levels.

“The Expression of Interest Form and the Nomination Form will be available for purchase and collection at the Directorate of Organisation, 2nd Floor, APC National Secretariat, No. 40 Blantyre Street, Wuse 2, Abuja,” the statement read.

The APC stressed that only forms obtained from the national secretariat will be recognized in the party’s ongoing processes and warned against using unauthorized channels.

The party explained that the adjustments to dates and procedures are part of a broader plan to strengthen internal democracy and ensure that party activities are conducted in a structured and inclusive manner.

In a separate update, the APC also announced modifications to the 2026 National Convention Central Coordination Committee to reflect strategic zoning arrangements and ensure balanced representation. The revised structure follows recent leadership changes in the committee, including the replacement of Imo State Governor Hope Uzodimma with former Katsina State Governor Aminu Bello Masari as chairman.

“The adjustments were made to reflect fair representation and internal zoning exigencies ahead of the national convention,” the party noted.

The 2026 National Convention is a key event on the APC calendar, expected to define the party’s leadership structure and guide its preparations for the upcoming general elections. It will also provide a platform for emerging party leaders to make their mark while reinforcing the party’s strategic direction ahead of the polls.

The APC has urged its members to fully participate and adhere to the revised guidelines to ensure a successful and peaceful exercise.
