Breaking: Armed Men Abduct Top Official Close To Nasarawa Governor

Unidentified gunmen have kidnapped Dr. Muhammed Egye Osolafia, popularly called Deedat, who serves as the Senior Special Assistant on Humanitarian Services to Governor Abdullahi Sule of Nasarawa State.

According to Leadership, the incident occurred on Saturday night when Osolafia returned to his residence in the Tudun Amba area of Lafia, the state capital. The attackers reportedly fired several gunshots into the air before seizing him.

Peter Ahemba, Senior Special Adviser to Governor Sule on Public Affairs, confirmed the abduction, describing it as both “sad and unfortunate.” He said he received the shocking news from a colleague.

This latest incident comes barely two months after the abduction of Barrister Yusuf Musa, Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of Information and Culture, who was taken from his home in Ungwan Nungu, also in Lafia.

Efforts to reach the Police Public Relations Officer of the Nasarawa State Command, SP Ramhan Nansel, for confirmation were unsuccessful at the time of filing this report.
