Breaking: Dangote Issues Stark Warning Following Meeting With Tinubu

He made the remarks on Monday after a visit to President Bola Tinubu in Lagos.

Dangote noted that although Nigeria is not directly involved in the conflict, the country will still feel the impact due to global oil price fluctuations.

He explained that the world is interconnected economically, adding that disruptions in oil supply and pricing would inevitably affect Nigeria and other countries. He expressed hope that the situation would be resolved quickly.

According to him, a prolonged crisis could further destabilize economies, especially in Africa, where governments are already struggling with limited financial buffers and rising debt burdens.

He warned that additional pressure on energy prices would increase hardship for both citizens and governments, noting that higher costs would affect everything from small businesses to large industries that depend heavily on fuel and power generation.

Dangote also emphasized that rising energy costs would have widespread effects on production and daily livelihoods, as many businesses rely on generators due to unreliable power supply.

He added that governments may struggle to increase wages in such conditions, meaning ordinary citizens, from barbers to manufacturers, would feel the strain.

He further pointed out that some countries are already adjusting to the situation by reducing working days or encouraging remote work to conserve energy.

Dangote warned that if the situation does not improve, more drastic measures similar to COVID-19-era work-from-home arrangements could return, as countries try to manage rising energy costs.

He concluded by calling for collective global efforts and prayers for a quick resolution to the crisis, stressing that failure to de-escalate would deepen economic pressure worldwide.
