BREAKING: EFCC Frees VeryDarkMan After Intense Public Outcry

Popular social media activist Martins Otse, widely known as VeryDarkMan (VDM), has been released from the custody of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).....KINDLY READ THE FULL STORY HERE▶

VDM was arrested last Friday in Abuja following multiple petitions submitted against him. According to the EFCC, his detention stemmed from his repeated failure to respond to several summons over allegations of financial misconduct.

His arrest sparked widespread outrage, especially among Nigerian youths, who took to various social media platforms demanding his immediate and unconditional release.

The news of his release was confirmed on Wednesday evening by activist and politician Omoyele Sowore. In a brief Facebook update, Sowore simply wrote: “VDM Released!”

Later, in a follow-up post on his (formerly Twitter) handle, Sowore added: “Thanks to the unrelenting efforts of all, VeryDarkMan has been released from unjust detention at the EFCC! He is now with his ever-passionate lawyer, Deji Adeyanju. #RevolutionNow”
