BREAKING: FG Wades Into Fiery Clash Between Dangote And PENGASSAN

Officials of the Dangote Petroleum Refinery and representatives of the Petroleum and Natural Gas Senior Staff Association of Nigeria (PENGASSAN) are currently participating in a reconciliation meeting convened by the Federal Government.....KINDLY READ THE FULL STORY HERE▶

According to Channels Television, the session—chaired by PENGASSAN President Festus Osifo and attended by Dangote refinery executives—is taking place at the conference room of the Minister of Labour and Employment.

Also present at the meeting are the Minister of Labour and Employment, Mohammed Dingyadi, and the Minister of State for Labour and Employment, Nkiruka Onyejeocha.

The dialogue comes amid an ongoing dispute between PENGASSAN and the refinery management over unresolved labour issues.

Earlier on Monday, PENGASSAN members barricaded the Abuja headquarters of the Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPCL) in line with a nationwide strike directive issued by the union’s national executive committee. Similar blockades were staged at the offices of the Nigerian Midstream and Downstream Petroleum Regulatory Authority (NMDPRA) and the Nigerian Upstream Petroleum Regulatory Commission (NUPRC).
