Breaking: Gov Yusuf Reshuffles Cabinet, Names Seven New Power Players

Kano State Governor, Abba Yusuf, has approved the appointment of seven individuals to key positions within major government agencies, as part of his administration’s ongoing push to strengthen governance and improve service delivery.

The announcement was made through a statement by the Director-General of Media and Publicity at the Kano Government House, Sunusi Bature.

Among the new appointees is Dr. Bashir Muzakkar, who will serve as the Director-General of the Kano State Information and Communication Technologies Development Agency. Prior to this, he was the Governor’s Special Adviser on Digital and Creative Economy.

Kabiru Dakata has been appointed as the Director-General of the State Advert and Signage Agency, while Dr. Fatima Abubakar will now head the State Social Protection Agency. She formerly served as Special Adviser on Enlightenment and Social Mobilisation.

Other appointments include Isyaku Umar-Kwa as Deputy Managing Director of the State Housing Corporation; Hamisu Danzaki as Executive Secretary of the State Scholarship Board; Isma’il Nasarawa as Provost of the Anti-Corruption Institute; and Mohammed Gabasawa as Commandant of the Corporate Security Institute.

Governor Yusuf expressed strong confidence in the appointees, highlighting their capacity and dedication to driving his administration’s development priorities and reform efforts across vital sectors of the state.
