In a statement released by the Minister’s Special Adviser (Media), Orji Uchenna Orji, the meeting is scheduled for Monday, February 19, 2024, at the Ministry’s Conference Hall in Mabushi, Abuja. The statement identified the invited participants as major players in the industry, including Dangote Plc, BUA Plc, Larfarge, and others.
Quoting the Minister, the statement conveyed Umahi’s acknowledgment of the challenges faced by manufacturers, emphasizing the need to investigate the significant gap between ex-factory prices and market prices. The Minister aims to address this issue and other related concerns during the meeting, fostering collaborative efforts to find common ground.
