This decision comes in the wake of the recent voluntary resignation of the former head of service, Alhaji Usman Bala, who had been retained by the current administration since its inception in May 2023.
The announcement was made by the Chief Press Secretary to the Kano State governor, Sanusi Bature Dawakin Tofa, in a statement issued yesterday. The statement emphasized that the appointment is effective immediately.
Abdullahi Musa brings a wealth of experience to the role, having dedicated over three decades to serving in various capacities within government ministries, departments, and agencies in Kano. He hails from Kiru local government area.
The statement highlighted Musa’s notable roles as the Permanent Secretary in the Kano Government House, Council Affairs Directorate, Administration and General Services of the Cabinet Office, Ministry of Special Duties, and Servicom Directorate.
Musa is an alumnus of Ahmadu Bello University (ABU), Zaria, where he obtained his degree in International Relations. Furthermore, he holds a Master’s degree in Public Policy and Administration from Bayero University, Kano, and another Master’s degree in Strategy and Security Administration from the Nigeria Defence Academy (NDA), Kaduna.
